VIVO X21 Review
VIVO's flagship range smartphone X21 made its Indian market appearance on May 29 as a FlipKart exclusive. The phone will come with a price tag of ₹ 35,990 and it is having the latest Android Oreo 8.1 version. Fun Touch user interface will enhance the user experience. The phone has impressed the users with its finger print sensor and face unlock options. X21 will be a tough competitor for One Plus 6 and Honor 10.
Display and Design
Vivo X21 has some adapted design features of iPhone X. At a glance the phone looks almost same as the mentioned. 7.3 mm thickness looks great in the range of smartphones. Its rivals, One Plus 6 and Honor 10 has a thickness of 7.3 mm. The phone just comes with one black color variant.
The 6.28 inch super AMOLED display is having a 402 ppi Pixel Density. In the screen protection side, Corning Gorilla Glass v3 is featured. But Vivo hasn't concentrated on upgrading it to the latest. 84.93% Body to Screen Ratio will give us a wider view.
Storage and Performance
The 128 GB in built memory looks decent and is an advantage against One Plus 6's 64 GB. Out of this 107 GB will be available for the users. Along with the in built memory, the user can upgrade the storage using an external storage up to 256 GB.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset will give Octacore processor. Adreno 512 graphics card will enhance the multimedia features. Other than this, Vivo X21 comes with 6 GB RAM and will give effortless performance. The performance section looks decent and will give trouble free gaming.
Battery and Camera
The 3200 mAh Li-ion battery looks average than its competitors. The battery is expected to give a 12 hour capacity for regular use. It also having the Quick Charging feature.
12 MP+ 5 MP Dual Primary camera comes with Continuous High Dynamic Range shooting modes. The cameras can record the videos at a 3840*2160 @ 30 fps rate. The front camera gives a F 1.8 Physical Aperture. 12 MP front camera looks great for the selfie lovers.
Other Features
The phone is having the latest Bluetooth v5.0 and comes with the basic connectivity features. It is having 3.5 mm audio jack in the multi media section. The phone is having lot of bloat wares and looks like a drawback in the storage side.
Verdict
Vivo X21 is a best phone under the 35k category. Honor 10 and One Plus 6 are its main competitors. The phone leads in the performance, camera, storage and design criteria's. But the device lacks a better battery capacity. But if you are happy with the mentioned advantages, X21 is a sure shot in the price range.
