NOKIA X6 PREVIEW

Nokia X6 is expected to be a flagship range phone from Nokia with a budget of ₹ 16,990.00 in the Indian market. It is expected that the phone might release on July 18, 2018. It will feature the latest Android v8.1(Oreo). Xiaomi's budget range phones like Xiaomi mi A2 and Xiaomi Redmi Pro will be a tough contenders for X6's specs.

Display and Design

The phone will have 3 color variants, Black, Blue and Silver. The phone will have a decent thickness of 7.9 mm. Its competitor Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is having a thickness of 8.0 mm. 151 gm weight also looks decent. It will have the similar design compared to Nokia 7 Plus.

The 5.28 inch IPS LCD display will give 1080*2280 pixel screen resolution. The huge 435 ppi Pixel Density looks great and even its competitors have a 403ppi. Although the screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass v3, Nokia hasn't featured the latest version in this. 80.05% Screen to Body ratio will make use of the maximum screen. The phone is also having a 19:9 Aspect Ratio.

Storage and Performance

32 GB Internal Memory looks good at the price tag. X6 gives an expandable option up to 256 GB. Even its Redmi competitor gives similar storage option at a slight higher price tag.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 will give Quad core processor. But considering the processor, Nokia isn't providing Octacore processor contrast to Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. Adreno 509 Graphics card looks decent whereas the 4 GB RAM will be a great offering from Nokia for the price tag.  

Batter and Camera

3060 mAh Li-ion battery looks ordinary for the given price tag. Contrast, competitors are having a huge 4000 mAh battery capacity. X6 comes with Quick Charging v3.0 but non replaceable battery makes a drawback depending on the user perspective.

16 MP + 5 MP Dual Primary Cameras will give a 4616*3464 pixels image resolution. Nokia are giving high class LED Flash and we can expect a greater quality images at any occasions. The phone is having Continuos Shooting, High Dynamic Range(HDR) modes. Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, Touch to focus are the other primary camera features. Considering the front camera, Nokia leads with its challengers. Even, the 16k Xiaomi mi 6x is having just 12 MP contrast to Nokia's 16 MP front camera.

Other Features

Nokia hasn't introduced NFC in X6, which 7 Plus had. It comes with finger print scanner and placed in the front side. The latest Bluetooth v5.0 looks great for the device. The phone comes with standard connectivity features. The device will also feature the basic Light, Proximity, Accelerometer, Compass, Gyroscope sensors. 3.5 mm Audio Jack will b an advantage in the multimedia side.

Verdict

The phone faces tough challenges from 16k Mi X6 and 14k Redmi Note 5 pro. X6 wins in case of camera and price tag(Considering the Nokia Brand). But the phone will not be a good performer. Quadcore processor will make the work even more slower and the 3060 mAh battery will give lesser working sessions. So, if you want a  budget smartphone with giving up some features, you can prefer Nokia X6.
