LG V40 Preview

After the great success of LG G7, Lg is coming with another premium range phone, LG V40. The device will have a price tag of ₹ 61,990.00. LG V40 will available in India this year end or in the beginning of next year. Some Indian tech websites speculates that the device will have a launch date of December 13, 2018. The latest Oreo version will be the manager of V40. Innovative cameras will be the main allure of the smartphone. Tech world is expecting a tough bout from iPhone X and Huawei P20 Pro.

Display and Design

Till now LG hasn't announced any exact design rumors of the device. Rumors speculates that the device will be dust proof and will have IP68 water resistant standard. The display safety will be handled by Corning Gorilla Glass v5 and we can expect a bezel free look.

The 6.3 inch screen size will have a screen resolution of 1440*2960 pixels with an aspect ratio of 18:9. LG is expected to feature the P-OLED display. 522 ppi Pixel Density will be powered with a good screen to body ratio of above 80%.

Storage and Performance

V40 will be a great performer with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset powered by an Octa core processor. Graphics section will be handled by Adreno 630 graphics card. 4 GB RAM looks a little lesser, but LG is expect to give a good performing RAM neglecting the rumor.

64 GB internal memory looks average. But V40 is expected to release in 3 storage variants of 128 GB, 64 GB and 256 GB. As always, LG will care more on the expandable memory and V40 will have a extension up to 2 TB.

Battery and Camera

Upon the announcement, there had been news talks regarding the camera features. As dual camera devices rules the market, LG may extend the camera range. If the available rumors are true, LG V40 will have 5 cameras with 3 lenses in the back and a dual cameras in the front. It isn't a official confirmation, but the back facing camera will be 16 MP+16 MP+8 MP. These features will help the users to click great photos. The front facing cameras will be of range 16 MP+ 8 MP and can click DSLR range photos.Optical Image stabilization will be the main camera feature. Front LED will favor in clicking selfies at any modes.

The 3500 mAh Li-ion battery will give you a great stand by time. Non-removable battery will favor you in giving a well built look. Wireless charging, Quick Charging will be other features from the power department.

Other Features

LG V40 will have all the basic connectivity features. Latest Bluetooth v 5.0 will be yet another connectivity standard. V40 will have A-GPS, Glonass GPS features. A 3.5 mm audio jack will be the multimedia feature. The smartphone will be powered with a finger print sensor and have all the basic sensors. LG may innovate more on cameras AI features. Till now there is no official confirmations from the manufacturers on this.

Verdict

LG V40 will be a great pick from 60k range phone. Although it may face tough competitions from Google Nexus, Huawei and iPhone X, this device leads in some specs. Firstly the 5 cameras. No other manufacturers has not tried the feature yet and LG will the first one to do this. It will equal its competitors in the performance, battery listings. Design features is yet to rumored and LG may look for something new in it.
