LG Stylus 4 Preview

LG Stylus has launched in the US markets from June 21 onwards. As the name suggests, Stylus 4 comes with a stylus for various purposes. It will be a budget range smartphone from the manufacturer and will have a price tag of ₹ 12,990. The Indian release is expected to make in this year end or beginning of the next month. The smartphone will have latest Android Oreo version and will be powered with a LG Custom User Interface. The device is rumored that it will have a single sim and will courtesy a finger print scanner and quick charging features.

Display and Design

LG Stylus will feature in Aurora Black color and will have a plastic metal back. It will have a special slot to place the stylus and 8.1*77.7*160 mm dimension. 172 gm weight looks a bit heavy and LG has never  seen concerned on that.

It won't have a edge display and is a reason for its budget price tag. Stylus 4 comes with a 6.2 inch TFT display and will have a screen to body ratio of 79.79%. 390 ppi Pixel Density is a best feature in the range of smartphones and powered with a 18:9 aspect ratio. The screen provides a resolution of 1080*2160 pixels.

Storage and Performance

The device is a great trouper in Storage and Performance section. It is built with a 32 GB storage and gives an expandable option of 2 TB, which is highest in this class of device. Out of the in built memory there is an user available memory of 20.9 GB.

The performance will be enhanced by an Octacore processor and powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset. The Adreno 506 graphics card will courtesy you in playing high graphics intensive games. 2 GB RAM looks decent for the price tag. 

Battery and Camera

3300 mAh Li-ion battery looks a great offering from manufacturers. Even LG's premium range devices have the similar battery capacity. The battery allows you a normal usage of 15.2 hours along with a stand by time of 504 hours. The device is enabled with quick charging feature and it is rumored that, this battery will have v3.0 of quick charging.

LG Stylus 4 is powered with a 13 MP primary shooter and courtesy a LED Flash. The device will have a physical aperture of f2.4 and gives an image resolution of 4160*3120 pixels. The device will have Continuos Shooting, High Dynamic Range (HDR) shooting modes and will be powered by Exposure compensation, ISO control camera settings.

The selfie camera looks average with just 5 MP sensor. It will give you a video recording option up to 1920*[email protected]

Other Features

As mentioned, Stylus 4 will have only one sim slot and will have 4 G network option. It comes with v4.2 of the Bluetooth and have Wi-Fi Direct, Mobile Hotspot connectivity options. GPS will be A-GPS and comes with Mass storage device, USB charging features. Multimedia is enhanced by a 3.5 mm Audio Jack. The finger print sensor is placed in the rear side and will have all the standard sensors. The stylus comes with screen off memo feature which will aid you in writing on the screen without turning it on.

Verdict

LG has produced a budget range device with features worth the price. The device is having great storage and Performance options. Primary camera looks decent but the selfie camera will lack the quality. LG still hasn't changed their drawback on phones weight. This takes the device a bit back. Also, the device lacks bezel free look but this is also a reason for its low budget. Battery looks excellent as the manufacturer provides high class cell. LG Stylus 4 isn't a perfect budget phone. It is having its own weakness in some areas. But if you are so much concerned about a decent phone with good brand, you can go for it.
