Asus is expected to launch their Zen fone 5 2018 series smartphones on June 19. The phone is expected to come with a price tag of ₹ 14,990. The smartphone will feature latest Android v8.0, Oreo. It is also build with UIZen User Interface for a good user experience. Finger Print scanner and Quick Charging features are the other notable general specifications.

The smartphone is expected to feature in two color variants, Silver and Midnight Blue. The phone is having a thickness of 7.8mm and looks an average phone considering the 155 gm weight. 

Zenfone 5 is coming with a 6.2 inch IPS LCD display which outputs a 1080*2246 pixel screen resolution. It is having an excellent pixel density of 402ppi. The phone is having Corning Gorilla Glass version 5 for its screen security. 83.64% Screen to Body ratio will use the maximum display size.

The 64 GB built-in memory looks best in this range of smartphones. Asus also giving an expandable option up to 2TB. 

Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 looks great and having the latest Octa core, 1.8 GHz, Kryo 260 processor. Adreno 509 graphics card is the latest and best in the range of smartphones. 4 GB  RAM will give you effortless performance.

 The smartphone comes with an excellent pair of cameras. The primary dual camera is having a 12 MP + 8 MP resolution and can capture images up to 4000*3000 resolution. It is having a F1.8 physical aperture. The device can record videos up to 1920*1080 @ 60 fps and gives Continuos and High Dynamic Range mode (HDR) shooting modes. The front camera is having a 8 MP resolution and having a F2.0 physical aperture.

The 3300 mAh non removable Li-ion battery looks decent in the range. The quick charging feature will be an advantage from the cell side.

Asus Zenphone 5 2018 comes with the latest bluetooth v5.0 and having the basic connectivity features. The 3.5 mm audio jack is a feature from the audio side. It is having finger print scanner(positioned front) and basic sensors.

Verdict

It is difficult to say Asus Zenfone 5 2018 is the best phone in this range. It is having some tough competition with Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, Vivo V9 and Oppo F7. But if you used the Zenfone series before, it is clear that Asus gives the best with the given budget.
